The fourth round of the 2024 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine saw G4 Racing make further progress in the development of its all-rookie trio of drivers consisting of Romain Andriolo, Jesse Carrasquedo, and Kanato Le.

Lining up at the Hungarian venue near Budapest, the Japanese racer stayed consistently in the top 10, showing great speed like his teammates. For multiple reasons, the results were not repeated in a weather-affected Qualifying 1. In Race 1, all three drivers finished the race with a good pace. Race 2 brought more positive indications despite Andriolo having to retire.

Relying on its great promise, G4 Racing is looking forward to the next round of the series on the 14 July weekend at Mugello in Italy.

Kanato Le (Driver #9): “It was definitely a positive weekend with a very good pace from practice. I wasn’t able to demonstrate the pace in qualifying, but I know the speed is there. As a team, we are more confident, so it should be good in Mugello after a few weeks off.”

Romain Andriolo (Driver #16): “Budapest is over. We found a good pace in the car. It could always be better, but we are still progressing quite a lot. We are closing the gap and working on our driving. Thanks for the hard work.”

Adrián Muñoz (Technical and Sporting Manager): “Positive visit to Hungaroring. We showed a very good step up in pace during practices, but unfortunately not in qualifying. The learning curve continues for our drivers. Next stop, Mugello!”
