The FIA Formula Regional European Championship returned to Circuit Paul Ricard for another demanding round of the season, where G4 Racing faced a challenging weekend but still came away with valuable championship points. Despite the obstacles encountered throughout the event, the team showed determination, resilience and competitive pace, reinforcing its focus on consistently scoring points in the championship fight.

Throughout the weekend, G4 demonstrated resilience and determination, overcoming setbacks and continuing to fight for strong results in every session. The team leaves Paul Ricard with important points and confidence to continue building momentum as the season progresses.

The team remains focused on maximizing every opportunity in the upcoming rounds as the championship battle continues.

Reflecting on the weekend, Marcus Saeter highlighted the positives despite the challenges:

“It was an encouraging weekend overall, with plenty of positives to take away. From the first session, the pace was competitive, and we continued to make progress throughout the event.

Race 1 gave us a solid foundation, and the speed in the car was clear. Although Race 2 proved to be more challenging, we never stopped pushing. Despite the difficulties, our pace remained strong, showing that we had the speed to fight further up the field.

There are always lessons to learn in motorsport, and this weekend was no different. We’ll take the positives, analyse what held us back in the second race, and come back even stronger next time.

A huge thank you to the team, our partners, and everyone supporting us throughout the weekend. Their hard work and commitment continue to make all the difference. We’re looking forward to carrying this momentum into the next round.”

Rahim Alibhai emphasized the team’s recovery after a difficult qualifying session:

“A difficult weekend overall with struggling for pace in qualifying but was able to fight back quite a bit in the races with some strong momentum.”

Saqer Almaosherji reflected on overcoming technical setbacks to recover positions in the final race:

“We had an up and down weekend here in Paul Ricard, starting the weekend lacking seat time, and we missed Race 1 due to a technical issue. However, we managed to recover in Race 2, starting 18th and moving up to P13 with good pace.”

Looking back on the event, Adrian Muñoz, Sporting and Technical Manager, praised the team’s overall performance while acknowledging the challenges they faced:

“The team showed good performance since first laps but unfortunately some issues with traffic management in qualy prevented better positions for the grid in races. Saqer suffered a technical issue that prevented him to get a good result in Race 1. Overally satisfied how the team bounce back from difficult start of season. Now we have some weeks to prepare last races at Imola and Hockenheim.”

With another round completed, G4 Racing now heads into the FIA FREC summer break with valuable points added to its championship tally. The team will use the coming weeks to prepare for the second half of the season before returning to action at Imola in September, determined to build on the positives from Paul Ricard and continue fighting for important championship points.
