The FIA Formula Regional European Championship (FIA FREC) is the reference category on the FIA Global Pathway between Formula 4 and FIA Formula 3. Promoted by the FIA together with ACI, it brings together the most promising young drivers in Europe on some of the continent’s most iconic circuits.

2026 marks the start of a new era for the championship: an all-new car, the Tatuus T-326, with aerodynamics inspired by Formula 1 philosophy and a new turbocharged three-cylinder engine developed by Autotecnica Motori, featuring a Race Mode push-to-pass system that rewards strategy and racecraft.

With a competitive grid, top-level teams and valuable FIA Super Licence points on offer, FIA FREC is the ideal school to prepare young drivers for the next step towards FIA Formula 3 and beyond.
