G4 Racing has successfully concluded an intensive and productive pre-season testing ahead of the 2026 FIA Formula Regional European Championship. The programme involved six days of collective tests across Hockenheim, Paul Ricard and the Red Bull Ring.
G4 Racing participated with all 10 teams on the grid, evaluating the new-generation Tatuus T-326 car. The programme focused on performance development, driver adaptation and data collection in a wide range of track and weather conditions.
Across the three venues, G4 Racing demonstrated strong pace and consistency, with standout performances throughout the tests. The team made an early impression at Hockenheim, where Marcus Saeter was the fastest overall driver, while team-mate Saqer Almaosherji topped the opening session. The positive momentum that has characterised the team’s performance was evident at Paul Ricard and in the final test at the Red Bull Ring, where Saeter once again featured at the top of the timesheets, underlining the team’s competitiveness heading into the new season.
With 30 drivers completing nearly 8,000 laps across the pre-season, the programme provided crucial mileage and valuable insights into the behaviour of the new car, allowing G4 Racing to build a solid foundation ahead of the championship opener later this month.
Saqer Almaosherji #3 underlined the importance of preparation:
“Overall some very positive pre-season tests for me. I accomplished what I set out to do in getting myself familiarised with the new car and tyres, as well as some new procedures to run through as well. I am happy with how the tests progressed, I think we showed strong pace in some key moments throughout the last six days.
These tests also gave me a chance to experience what I didn’t get last year with mileage in the car before the first round of the championship. Looking forward to the first round of FREC in a few weeks at the Red Bull Ring!”
Rahim Alibhai #23 also highlighted the progress made:
“So far the team and I have worked very hard over the course of the past three tests due to my limited mileage in single seaters. We have made lots of improvements and are closing the gap to the front. I am very happy so far with the new regulations as the car is very enjoyable to drive. We are looking forward to the season ahead!”
Marcus Saeter #67 reflected on a constructive pre-season:
“The pre-season has been very positive from my side. We completed six test days where the main focus was on learning, evaluation, and continuing to develop both myself as a driver and our understanding of the car together with the team. I feel I’ve made strong progress throughout the sessions, improving step by step each day.
Having the opportunity to test at circuits like Paul Ricard, Hockenheim, and the Red Bull Ring gave us valuable experience in different conditions, which has been very important ahead of the season. Overall, I’m coming away with a good feeling and a solid foundation going into the start of the championship.”
Sporting and Technical Manager Adrian Muñoz emphasised the team’s overall progress:
“Intense pre-season testing ahead of the first race weekend of FIA FREC. Hockenheim, Paul Ricard and Red Bull Ring represent the best mix of circuits of the championship, where we collected very important data in order to continue learning and improving the performance of the new Tatuus T-326. We had the opportunity to test in all conditions and now we have a small break to analyse and prepare for the season.”
With pre-season testing now complete, G4 Racing shifts its focus to the opening round of the 2026 FIA Formula Regional European Championship, set to take place on 24–26 April at the Red Bull Ring, where the team aims to convert its promising preparation into strong race results.
