It hasn’t been an easy weekend for G4 Racing at Spa-Francorchamps. the Swiss squad jumped back into action at the famed Belgian track after the positive progression experienced in the inaugural round of the year at Hockenheim. Romain Andriolo achieved the first Racelience Award of the year with two splendid comebacks that led him to a P17 result in Race 2.

Once again, the weather played a cardinal role at Spa-Francorchamps, providing changing conditions. It was a complicated set of situations, that certainly did not help the team’s three rookie drivers.

Kanato Le managed to secure a double top-20 finish, while Jesse Carrasquedo finished in P23 twice. Unfortunately, Andriolo was forced to retire on both occasions due to contacts.

G4 Racing will be back competing on June 8th and 9th for the third round of the season at Zandvoort.

Kanato Le (Driver #9):
“It was a difficult weekend in Spa with lots of learning to do, but a good step forward. Our pace in both dry and wet conditions was really good for qualifying, and it felt like we had a lot of potential. We know what we are capable of and have the pace to fight for points, so I am looking forward to Zandvoort in a few weeks.”

Romain Andriolo (Driver #16):
“This weekend was not easy; unfortunately, we didn’t finish the races. We keep working on the season. Now it’s Zandvoort.”

Jesse Carrasquedo (Driver #33):
“It wasn’t an incredible weekend, but we keep working towards Zandvoort.”

Adrián Muñoz (Sporting and Technical Manager):
“Not the ideal weekend at Spa. As one of the most difficult circuits on the calendar, it proved to be a big challenge for our three rookies. With mixed weather conditions and an incredibly tight grid, we didn’t get the results we hoped for. The pace was good, but the qualifying sessions didn’t go as planned and made the races difficult. The only option is to keep working as hard as usual and keep learning. Results will come. Zandvoort is already in mind.”
