The Spanish F4 Championship returned to action last weekend at the Circuito de Jerez. Following a demanding weekend, G4 Racing demonstrated notable progress compared to the previous round at Jarama, fighting hard through the midfield to secure points.
Throughout the weekend, the drivers worked hard to extract performance from their cars on a challenging track. Sunday’s Qualifying 2 proved difficult, but the team showed great resilience to fight back during the race, despite multiple Safety Car interventions limiting green-flag racing opportunities.
Jean Karras (#9): “The weekend at Jerez didn’t go as we hoped in terms of pure pace especially in Qualifying but in all the races I managed to gain as many positions I could.”
Philippe Karras (#12): “It was a good weekend overall. There was some improvement from the last one, I managed to be in the top10 and bring some points but we still need more to go further up in the top10. Hope Barcelona will be even better to end the season on a high.”
Patrick Gnos, Team Principal: “As always Jerez is a nice place to race. The track is fun and the weather was really hot matching the temper of many drivers. The team and our drivers worked hard and improved together. The qualification runs could have however been more performant. Our valiant drivers showed very good fighting spirit and commitment. Philippe managed to finish Race 2 in the top positions resulting in scoring a point. Jean was moving through the field in every race and gained an impressive number of positions. We are looking forward to the next race and want to build on the progress made in Jerez.”
With the Jerez weekend successfully concluded, G4 Racing has no time to rest as preparations begin for the penultimate round of the season, taking place in Navarra from October 9th to 11th.
