After opening the season in Portimão, the team continued its Spanish Winter Championship (SWC) campaign at the Circuito del Jarama for the second round of the E4 series. The historic Spanish venue presented the team with a challenging technical task and was an important benchmark for their ongoing development at this early stage in the season.

G4 Racing approached Jarama with a clear objective: to build on the work carried out in the first round and demonstrate measurable progress on the track. Over the course of the weekend, all three drivers demonstrated significant progress. While the results did not bring championship points, the team’s overall performance reflected clear improvements in pace, confidence, and race craft.

In race conditions, the drivers were able to move forward through the field, gaining important positions and maintaining a consistent pace throughout each race. This progress was particularly evident in their ability to engage in battles and maintain competitive lap times throughout each race. The information collected over the weekend will be invaluable in helping the team to refine its package ahead of the next round.

With encouraging signs of growth and a solid developmental trajectory, G4 Racing is now focusing on the next event, determined to convert performance gains into tangible results.

Following, you can find the declarations of our drivers along with Team Principal Patrick Gnos.

J. Karras (Driver #9):

‘It wasn’t a very good weekend at Jarama. Qualifying didn’t go well, and we didn’t manage to score any points, but we put in some strong performances, and we’re working to do better next time.’

P. Karras (Driver #12):

“It was a good, progressive weekend. As we struggled with the car a bit in Q1, starting at the back was not easy as the track is very narrow, but I managed to gain 7 and 8 places in R1 and SR, and finished in the top 15 in both races. Q2 went better. I qualified 15th and had the pace to fight for a top 10, but R2 ended early for me when another driver hit me in T1. Thanks a lot to the team for their hard work. We will be stronger in Aragon.”

J. Moodley (Driver #94):

“Despite the weekend not turning out as expected, I was excited and grateful to learn Jarama. I can’t wait to be back at Motorland for the next race!”

Patrick Gnos (Team Principal):

“’At the second meeting of the SWC Spanish F4 Winter Championship at the Jarama track, we enjoyed the challenging layout. As we had not tested there recently, it took us a little time to reach a competitive level. Some mistakes during qualifying meant we started the races far from the front rows. The cars that survived the first corner showed good pace during the races and gained quite a few spots, narrowly missing out on points. We will be back soon at Motorland to try again.”

The third round of the Spanish Winter Championship will take place at MotorLand Aragón from the 13th to the 15th of March. G4 Racing will be looking to build on the strong performance in Jarama and maintain their upward trajectory.
