The fourth round of the Formula Regional Championship at Monza delivered plenty of excitement for G4 Racing, as the team continued its positive development throughout one of the most competitive weekends of the season. Despite facing challenges in qualifying, the team demonstrated strong race pace across all three races, earning valuable results and highlighting the progress made by its drivers and crew.

A major highlight of the weekend was Marcus Saeter claiming his third Rookie victory of the season, while Saqer Almaosherji scored his first championship points, marking an important milestone in his rookie campaign. Rahim Alibhai also continued his upward trajectory with his best results to date in the championship.

The weekend did not start easily for the team, with qualifying proving once again to be the most challenging aspect of the event. However, G4 Racing responded well during the races, consistently moving forward and fighting inside a highly competitive field.

Saqer Almaosherji reflected on a weekend of recovery and progression:

“We had a very up and down weekend in Monza, starting off lacking a bit of pace, then we managed to recover by having good race pace, finishing in the points in Race 2 and Race 3. Overall, a good weekend.”

For Rahim Alibhai, Monza represented another step forward in his development:

“Overall a positive first impression at Monza for Round 4. We made a lot of progress with having two personal best results of a P16 and P14. We still have our work cut out for us for the second half of the season, but we will continue working hard towards our goals.”

Marcus Saeter once again showed impressive speed throughout the weekend, combining a Rookie class victory with his strongest overall Formula Regional finish to date:

“Round 4 of the Formula Regional Championship ended not exactly how we wanted, but in Race 2 we finished P6, our best finish so far. While luck wasn’t on our side this weekend, we showed strong pace and fought hard throughout. We’ll take the positives, learn from the setbacks, and come back stronger for the next round at Hungaroring.”

Sporting and Technical Manager Adrian Muñoz highlighted the collective effort from the entire team:

“Monza has been the best weekend so far of the season. All drivers did a good job, showing strong pace in the tightest grid we have seen in years. Qualifying is still the most complicated part of the weekend, but we are improving event by event. Hungaroring is the next stop.”

Leaving Monza, G4 Racing takes away several positives: improved race pace, growing consistency, a third Rookie victory for Saeter, the first championship points for Almaosherji, and continued progress across the entire driver lineup. The team now looks ahead to the Hungaroring determined to convert that momentum into even stronger results in the next round of the championship.
