G4 Racing is delighted to announce that Owen Tangavelou will join the team for the 2022 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine season. Born on March 4th, 2005, the French driver is set to join Matias Zagazeta while the team’s third driver will be announced soon.
Tangavelou conducted an intense testing program with G4 Racing, making huge steps in understanding the Formula Regional car. In February 2022, he also took part in three rounds of the Formula Regional Asian Championship, gaining crucial experience prior to the start of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine season.
In 2021 Tangavelou was a front-runner in his second French F4 Championship campaign, where he secured fifth place in the overall standings with one win and five podiums.

After two successful years in the French F4 Championship, I’m sure he is going to be one of the best rookies in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. He trained himself very hard with a part-time program in the Formula Regional Asian Championship, and he is now ready to start preparations for an exciting run in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine”.
